Charles Latham

Charles Latham Self-Portrait

“Cyrus is Latham’s imaginary friend, alter ego, personal demon and doppleganger. After the break up of a relationship, Latham created a series of photographs that showed him physically harming himself. These images alarmed his friends, and caused heated debates…Latham wanted to continue to investigating the issues and feelings portrayed in these photographs, so he inveted Cyrus as a way of examining himself in a more controlled fashion.” Source: Susan Bright’s AutoFocus
