“Otsuka’s Imagine Finding Me series is both technically excellent and emotionally compelling, and has a poetic quality to it. Each image is a double self-portrait; a combination of an old photograph of her childhood self and her current self, creating a temporal and emotive connection between the two. These images explore how one changes with time, making us consider the fleeting quality of time and question it as a linear concept. It is interesting that despite the connection between the two figures in each image, they still feel like very separate and isolated beings.” (source: http://www.juxtapoz.com/news/photography/imagine-finding-me-chino-otsuka/)
